Plant a Bee-friendly garden

Plant a Bee-friendly garden

Plant an enchanting little wilderness for you and the Bees to enjoy!

You can buy bee-friendly seed mixes from many garden stores but here are a few suggestions to get you started.

Annual Flowers
sunflowers, calendula, poppies, cosmos, hollyhocks, fox gloves (one of our favourites) clover, marigold, nasturtiums.

Pretty Perennials
comfrey, dahlias, echinacea, geraniums, aquilegia, gladiolus.

Cleaver Little Climbers
honeysuckle, clematis.

Fruit & Vegetables
blackberry, cucumbers, pumpkin, courgette.

Herbs
bee balm, borage, coriander, rosemary, thyme.

Planting your Garden
1. Head to your local garden centre and purchase your seeds and a small bag of organic seed raising mix.

2. You can plant directly into your garden or if the temperature is still a little cold, start your seeds inside in little pots - choose a nice sunny spot like a window sill (you can carefully transplant into garden later). Spritz your seedlings with water so as not to dry out.

3. Visit often and watch as they grow and bloom into beautiful flowers, for you and the Bees to enjoy!
